FREI ART FESTIVAL
The FREI ART FESTIVAL is an international platform for dance, exchange, and creative experimentation. For a week, dancers of all levels meet at Studio Pro Arte to learn new techniques and expand their expression in workshops with renowned artists.
The high-caliber stage program presents contemporary dance, interdisciplinary performances, and children's plays – sophisticated yet accessible to a broad audience.
A highlight is the Out:liers Dance Contest, which brings together dancers of all styles and offers space for innovation. With FREI ART CONNECT, the festival also creates a platform for networking and international collaborations.
Families can expect a special program with interactive workshops and performances.
The FREI ART FESTIVAL connects Freiburg with the global dance scene – a celebration of movement, inspiration and encounter.
Studio Pro Arte
Studio Pro Arte is a center for dance and culture that welcomes people from Baden-Württemberg, the border triangle, and all over the world. With a broad spectrum of artistic activities centered around contemporary and urban dance, interdisciplinary projects, productions, residencies, courses, continuing education formats, festivals, and networking activities, Studio Pro Arte offers a diverse experience for people of all ages. With 1,000 square meters of space, Studio Pro Arte offers space for artistic residencies, workshops, and performances.
In addition to working with professional dance artists and collaborating with institutions and festivals worldwide, working with children and young people is a common focus of the work at Studio Pro Arte.
