Intensive Workshop with Rainer Behr – Dance Technique and Creativity
The FREI ART FESTIVAL - Spring Edition, in cooperation with the German Professional Association for Dance Education, is organizing intensive workshops for dance educators and dance professionals. Rainer Behr, choreographer and dancer with the Pina Bausch Dance Theater Wuppertal, focuses on dance technique as the foundation of creative work.
Rainer Behr develops techniques for developing body awareness and expanding technical precision in dance. Through targeted improvisation techniques, technical elements are explored dynamically and playfully, variations and combinations are developed, and established movement patterns are consciously disrupted. Another focus is on constructive feedback methods that promote both technical and creative development. In intensive movement sequences, the workshop combines precision with creative freedom and invites participants to merge technique and expression into a personal, vibrant unity. It is aimed at dancers and those interested in movement who want to deepen their technique while expanding their creative freedom.
